There was a large amount of customer user mobility data that was not generating value.
How did we approach this project?
A Data Lake was generated in GCP (Google Cloud Platform) to ingest the data from the origin sources, pivoted from the client's cloud with data from Santiago. In GCP the geo-referencing was created with respect to a grid of polygons given by the districts of Santiago, where the district of residence and work of each user was defined and the mobility trace of each one was analyzed with respect to previously defined points of interest.
The project took about an hour to process all the data of a day (near real time), being able to identify the behavior of masses in a geo-referenced way, all in a Big Data Analytics framework, which allows the development of different business opportunities for different verticals.
